An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with exceptional analytical and communication skills to join our IT team as a Systems Design Manager. Reporting to the IT Director, the successful candidate will lead the IT Change department consisting of Business and Test Analysts which is the conduit between the development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have experience of the development lifecycle process analysis, facilitation of workshops, elicitation of requirements, creation of user story documents, creation of technical design documents / technical specifications, strong stakeholder management skills, have experience working with Waterfall, Agile or Kanban development methodologies. The Systems Design Manager is responsible for ensuring that the companies bespoke system aligns to the requirements of the business ensuring its acts to optimize processes. Managing both the design and Beta testing of any changes. Salary £50k to £60k dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities Key input and responsibility for the system roadmap, ensuring timely updates and improvements. Responsible for all projects, aligning them with the companies strategic goals and mitigating risks. Identify project scope and provide estimated timescales for implementation. Management of the IT Change process. Oversees design, testing and implementation of projects. Manage and mentor a team of Business and Test Analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Setting team goals and objectives to align to business strategy. Find best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Utilize strong influencing and negotiation skills to facilitate outcomes and drive alignment among teams and stakeholders. Obtain and retain in depth knowledge of business processes and systems. Ensure User Stories from the Operations team are transformed into actionable technical design documents for the development team, translating business requirements into technical artifacts. Creation of documents such as Project Roadmaps, Project Plans, Technical Design Documents, Use Case Diagrams, ERDs, Specifications, Test Scripts, Procedure Documentation, System Manuals. Answering queries and reporting to senior staff where appropriate. Out of hours implementation testing once a week. Adhoc Answering IT support requests to both external / internal customers training will be provided where required. General IT support for our offices in Kings Hill. Knowledge of Azure DevOps or Click Up would be beneficial, but not essential. Experience in SQL would be beneficial. An understanding of C#, Classic ASP, Java would be beneficial, but not essential. Knowledge of the mortgage process would be beneficial, but not essential. Experience in a Change Control environment including the creation of documents such as Project Roadmaps, Technical Design Documents, Specifications.
