The Senior Production Manager will lead on production delivery and planning across all aspects of LME’s event portfolio. Working closely with Senior Event Experience Managers across company‑wide functional areas, you will plan, manage and coordinate multiple tasks and resources to ensure the safe and successful delivery of our events.

This role reports directly to a Senior Event Experience Manager. You will lead and work within several Event Project Teams, managing parallel workstreams across a range of event projects including the TCS London Marathon. You may act as the Operational Lead for larger events such as Brighton Marathon Weekend, T100 Triathlon, The Big Half, Vitality 10,000 and the Royal Parks Half Marathon Weekend.

When acting as Operational Lead you will be responsible for all operational aspects of event delivery and the participant experience, as measured by NPS/Good/Excellent scores. You will keep the operational element of the event within budget and will bring strategic planning and multi‑event oversight from previous roles.


Key Responsibilities

* Work closely with the Event Lead or Operational Lead regarding event aims
* Agree capacity of event with Event Lead and CEO to determine number of entries, crowd flows and management
* Lead production of detailed planning documentation and CAD/Iventis plans of the routes & venues
* Lead the Start, Route and Finish Managers to develop production schedules for the technical delivery of the event
* Obtain planning applications and licenses and communicate event details with stakeholders
* Work with the traffic management team to ensure TM plans and HVM planning are suitable and road closure times are achieved
* Collaborate with festival & activations team for creative event concepts and sponsor activations
* Ensure logistics team is fully briefed and supported for all logistical elements of the event
* Work with other departments to deliver activation, hospitality and inclusion initiatives across the event
* Recruit freelancers, casual staff and volunteers and ensure they are fully briefed
* Manage contracts with suppliers alongside the procurement team in line with financial strategy and targets
* Work with Health and Safety contractors on the Event Safety Management Plan and ensure compliance on site
* Create contingency and Crowd Management Plans for the events
* Implement continual improvement and debriefs efficiently
* Optimise branding delivery plan with the Commercial team


Required Skills

* Senior level production management experience for a complex event of 10,000 people or more
* Proven production management skills in mass participation events
* Leadership training at management level
* Experience line‑managing or mentoring junior employees
* Direct management of large complex builds
* Understanding of technical production on a wide range of complex events
* Confidence and ability to work autonomously
* Stakeholder management at senior levels and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
* High resilience and performance under pressure in lead‑up to events
* Very positive and enthusiastic attitude as a team member
* Highly organised, creative thinker able to multitask


Required Experience

* Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts
* Work within a large temporary team environment during event delivery phase
* Knowledge of Crowd Management and extensive event time experience
* Experience with Health and Safety principles
* A working knowledge of CDM regulations
* Experience using project management software
* NEBOSH managing safely qualification
