Description
At Amazon, we're working to be the most Customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to improve is how we fulfill and deliver orders. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of orders, regardless of size. To achieve this, Amazon continually innovates with new products and services, especially in last mile delivery.
Are you interested in being part of a rapidly scaling organization with diverse operational challenges? Do you want to be at the core of the supply chain for a critical and capital-intensive resource for Amazon Logistics?
We are seeking a self-starting Principal with strong stakeholder management skills to join the EU AMZL Global Fleet Product, Fleet Planning team.
Key job responsibilities
As Head of Fleet Supply Planning Transformation, you will lead supply planning for Last Mile Rentals (LMR), a program transforming from a 'push' fleet model based on individual DSP demand forecasts to a 'pull' model using shared van pools. This involves managing inter-period demand variability, intra-week fluctuations, and vehicle contingencies.
The role requires designing mechanisms to meet strategic fleet scale and efficiency goals, collaborating with Fleet Demand and Fleet Finance teams to balance utilization and partner experience, and conducting reviews with senior stakeholders for approvals and peak readiness. Anticipating risks and designing supply chain solutions will be key to success.
The Top Challenges For The Role Will Be
* Developing a sustainable LMR supply base that reduces lead times and costs
* Balancing conflicting stakeholder goals amid high ambiguity and foundational capacity building
* Creating governance mechanisms for transfer order approvals post-rollout
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree
* Experience in fleet, supply chain, or logistics industries
* Experience in business ownership, controlling, and analysis
* Proven reporting and data analysis skills
* Strong Excel proficiency
* Experience influencing cross-functional teams
* Ability to prioritize high-volume engagements
Preferred Qualifications
* SQL proficiency
* Understanding of fleet management KPIs
