Overview
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £13.70 an hour; this increases to £14.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
Availability
The availability windows are the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues; if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you.
Role and responsibilities
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside experienced Pharmacists and managers, you will receive local management and leadership support. You will be responsible for Pharmacy operations including dispensing medications, customer service, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. See list:
* Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with accuracy.
* Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner.
* Offering information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understanding customer needs and explaining product benefits.
* Advising on the range of Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to SOPs.
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handling clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners.
* Responding to customer queries related to prescription medicines.
* Ensuring dispensary routines and SOPs are followed; keeping areas clean and organized.
* Carrying out procedures to protect profit and ensure safe, legal trading.
* Completing corporate and departmental training; keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
