Job Length: 18 Months FTC – Full Time

About the role: We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Tax Specialist to support tax reporting and financial control, and to help shape efficient, future-ready tax processes. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to contribute to the success of our brands. Reporting to the Tax Manager, your responsibilities include:
* Driving monthly reporting and reconciliation processes, including VAT and Excise Duty
* Delivering annual PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) and Taxed Award Scheme returns
* Supporting sustainability goals through Plastics Packaging Tax and Packaging Waste reports
* Supporting efficiency initiatives with reports on Excise Duty Drawback, rejected documents, and scrapping
* Assisting with Excise Duty due diligence and compliance checks
* Reconciliation of duty against the deferment account to ensure accuracy
* Supporting ad-hoc tax and financial control requirements as needed
Experience & Attributes:
* Strong understanding of financial processes, with ability to drive process improvements
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills at all levels
* Experience working with external stakeholders like HMRC, auditors, and advisors
* Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality outcomes
* Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex data
* Sound judgment and decision-making skills
* Knowledge of SAP, BI, Power BI, and HFM is desirable
