Job Title: Sales Account Manager Salary: Competitive Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire but mostly remote working Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Alphagary manufactures specialty compounds, formulated from a variety of polymers, that are purpose-designed for a wide range of applications. Alphagary also formulates stabilizers, plasticizers and colorants designed for use in vinyl compounds. We have an opportunity in our Sales Team. The Sales Account Manager's mission is to identify, target, acquire and service key customers for Alphagary / Sylvin Technologies. It is also to manage and grow business with existing customers in an assigned territory or on a national basis. Job Summary/Purpose: The Sales Account Manager's mission is to identify, target, acquire and service key customers for Alphagary / Sylvin Technologies. It is also to manage and grow business with existing customers in an assigned territory or on a national basis. Main Responsibilities: Develop annual territory sales plan to include sales forecasts, budgets and goals & inventory requirements Visit customers regulary for business meetings; attend product sample trials, help resolve technical issues and strengthen relationships with customers. Research and identify new customer prospects and present Alphagary / Sylvin Technologies products and capabilities to potential customers. Through customer and prospect interaction, identify potential new products and markets to explore and develop. Initiate and assist in new product market research and sales initiatives as assigned. Effectively acquire and manage significant key accounts. Develop proposals; create and maintain key customer contracts including price negotiation and setting, maximizing margins, price change mechanisms and established volume commitments. Manage assigned distributor sales inquiries. Provide monthly and ad hoc reports for eg: sales report summarizing key account developments, significant new business opportunities, competitor activities, sales calls reports and customer visits. Attend industry trade shows and keep up to date on new products and applications in the market. Build and maintain the territory sales pipeline. Participate in Marketing Team plan development and execution. Work with customer service, production scheduler and shipping/receiving to ensure timely delivery of products; to expedite and to resolve customer problems Identify customer product performance requirements and communicate clearly with R & D/Technical Team (AG and customers') to ensure the right product is developed for the intended use. Skills, Knowledge, Experience: University degree or equivalent, preferable with a technical/engineering or business/marketing emphasis. Preferably some experience in outside sales account management in the plastics, chemicals or industrial markets and in particular Wire and Cable sector. Excellent written and oral communication skills (English). Ability to communicate in German or Italian would be desirable Strong negotiation and influencing skills Ability to build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Ability to use Microsoft Office packages and other IT systems to produce reports; to undertake effective research and to communicate professionally with stakeholders Ability to analyse complex data and present findings clearly and concisely Self-driven and motivated with a strong customer focus Works well independently with limited supervision Technically capable and excellent questioning techniques. Ability to problem-solve effectively and provide possible solutions Proven key account management experience. Perseverance to see and process an opportunity through to realisation Full valid clean UK Driving Licence Candidates with experience of: Business Development Manager, Account Executive, BDM, Senior Business Development, B2B, Account Executive, Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, New Business Sales Executive, Key Account Manager, Sales Team Leader may also be considered for this role.
