Job summary
The purpose of this post is to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team forthe Early Intervention In Psychosis Team, carrying out full risk assessment,mental, physical health and social care assessments and specialist psychosisassessments, identifying clients suitable for the service who meet the criteria for First Episode Psychosis, At Risk Mental States (at risk of 1st episode), to provide short term intervention and treatment as required and to refer on to relevant services clients who do not meet the criteria for line with currently identified best practice within early intervention work and to play an active role in service development supporting the team.
Main duties of the job
o To act as a Specialist Assessment Coordinator in carrying outassessments of clients referred to EIT who are suspected as having FirstEpisode To support and supervise junior staff within the To at times manage and supervise the team.

1. Dip SW/ SROT
2. CAARMS Training completed and evidence of yearly updates
Desirable
3. Mentorship Training
4. Physical Health Training
5. Self-harm suicide training

Experience
Essential
8. Significant experience of assessing clients with serious mental illness in Early Intervention Team/Service, Access Service or Community Mental Health
9. Experience of teamwork and effective communication at all levels
10. Ability to work independently in a community setting
11. Experience in the use of psychosis-specific semi-structured interviews ( PANSS; CAARMS; PSYRATS).
12. Experience of Tribunal Report attendance and writing
13. Knowledge and skill in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care of clients with serious mental illness
14. Knowledge of legislation that underpins the care of those with serious mental illness.
15. Knowledge of NICE guidance applicable to those with psychosis and schizophrenia.
