We are seeking a motivated Primary Care Paramedic to join our Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Primary care setting to deliver high quality, accessible care to our patient population.
The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of minor illness conditions.
Part time role, up to 30 hours will be considered.
Main duties of the job
Undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and management
Conduct face to face and telephone consultations to patients presenting with minor illness
Provide urgent sameday care and triage patients appropriately
Prescribe medication
Maintain accurate clinical records

We are a training practice with an excellent reputation, providing allaspects of primary care to just over 10,000 patients, with an Outstanding CQCrating. The practice uses SystmOne clinical system. We are a friendly teamwhich includes ANPs, Nurses, HCAs, Clinical Pharmacist and a Health &Wellbeing team.

Job responsibilities
Assess, diagnose and manage patients with minor illness
Deliver face to face and telephone consultations
Provide urgent sameday appointments and clinical triage
Refer patients to GP or alternative healthcare provider
Work collaboratively within the clinical team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
Participate in service development and quality improvemnt
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Paramedic with HCPC
* Non-medical Independent Prescriber (V300)
* Experience in assessment and treatment of minor illness
* Strong clinical assessment and decision making skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and time keeping skills
* Experience in a Primary Care Setting
