Senior Technical Underwriter

* Hybrid role: 3 days remote, 2 days in offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, York, Glasgow, or Belfast.
About the role
Join NFU Mutual as a key member of our Regional Senior Technician Underwriting team. You will manage complex, high-value cases, ensuring technical excellence. Your role involves advising, training, and guiding others to maintain technical knowledge and meet objectives, KPIs, and deliver excellent customer service.
You will handle administration and resolution of intricate cases, ensuring regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for members. Additionally, you will train and coach team members, develop technical capabilities, and contribute to strategic planning. Monitoring and reporting on technical activities and identifying improvement opportunities will also be part of your responsibilities.
Please note, the internal job title is Regional Senior Technician - Underwriting.
About you
You should have a proven track record managing complex Commercial Underwriting cases, providing technical expertise in a regulated environment, and experience in developing or coaching others.
Essential skills include:
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* High attention to detail with pragmatic and logical thinking
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Experience building stakeholder relationships
* Report writing experience (desirable)
