Location: Handcross Park School, near Handcross Village, West Sussex.
Working weeks: 46 working weeks (term-time plus0!
Salary: £30,000 per annum
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our catering team at Handcross Park School, part of the respected Brighton College Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with a passion for fresh food and quality service. Experience in an education setting is preferred but not essential. The role suits someone looking to develop their career in a supportive, daytime-hours environment within the independent education sector.

1. Prepare and present high-quality meals for pupils, staff, and guests

Transport Information:
Due to the school's location near Handcross village (close to Horsham and Gatwick), own transport is necessary. There is no public bus service to the site. Candidates without their own transport are advised to consider this before applying.

Job Description
WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:
9. Assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef in the kitchen operation and ensure the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained at all times.
10. Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head Chef/ Manager
11. Contribute to the development and planning of menus, including future food trends and be passionate about developing new styles of service and concepts in the location.
12. Support Manager with stock taking when required.
13. Carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
14. Leaving Cert level education or above
15. NVQ qualification as a minimum level 2
16. Successful progressive background in catering
17. Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
18. Flair and innovative with menus and food presentation
19. Good listening skills
