One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations are looking for a Community Mission Facilitator to join our team in Hastings, responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of Community programmes in Hastings and the outreach to the local community. The successful applicant will help us in our mission to serve the communities within Hastings. This role will support and develop our existing Christ-centred community programmes ensuring they are effective responses to the issues that are affecting the vulnerable members of our communities.
As the Community Mission Facilitator you will:
1. Embody the values of compassion, dignity and service, working directly with individuals and families across Hastings, supporting those on the margins and encouraging partnership working.
2. Plan, design & implement the community missional programme.
3. To assist with developing and leading worship in the community programme where appropriate
4. Ensure that volunteer resources are appointed & developed.
5. To undertake general administration associated with the Corps programme, ensuring that the paperwork is promptly and correctly dealt with and accurate records maintained
6. To lead on establishing links & networking with other local community and church organisations
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
7. Strong previous experience and up to date knowledge of developing and implementing successful community missional programmes for a diverse range of participants.
8. The ability and willingness to support the fulfilment of the spiritual aims of the programme, showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants.
9. An awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversity
