Overview: Southern Water is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Water Asset Management team as a Technical Programme Planner. This newly created role is ideal for individuals with a passion for strategic planning, data analysis, and infrastructure development. You’ll contribute to shaping our 25-year water investment programme and support regulatory commitments.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Analyse data to prioritise work and guide investment decisions
* Monitor project progress and support suppliers with technical studies
* Ensure teams have access to the systems and resources they need
* Help build and refine our long-term business plans
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Support engineers in developing effective, sustainable solutions
You’ll Also Contribute To Strategic Planning By
* Promoting excellence in Health & Safety across planning activities
* Prioritising risk-based investments to meet programme targets
* Aligning investment options with business goals and outcomes
* Supporting workshops and decision-making processes
* Helping implement plans aligned with regulatory frameworks (e.g. WRMP, DWMP)
* Communicating investment programmes clearly to stakeholders
* Supporting cost-benefit analysis and whole-life costing
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience in heavily regulated environments, such as utilities
* Experience with data analysis
* Curiosity about infrastructure planning and asset management
* Problem-solving skills and collaborative approach
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* A desire to make a long-term impact on water services and sustainability
Package
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
* Hybrid working between sites and home
* Salary starting from £32,700 per annum plus benefits including:
