A leading and well-established Building Services Contractor based in Ipswich are looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join their experienced and growing estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking for long-term stability, exposure to high-value projects, and clear career progression within a respected business.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of commercial and industrial mechanical projects, typically valued up to £6.5 million.
Key responsibilities:
•Preparing detailed mechanical cost estimates and tenders.
•Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
•Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
•Value engineering and identifying cost efficiencies.
•Working closely with the wider estimating and pre-construction team.
•Assisting with handover to the delivery teams upon project award.
About you:
•Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector.
•Strong understanding of commercial and industrial mechanical system.
•Confident pricing projects from first principles.
•Able to work collaboratively as part of an established estimating team.
•Organised, detail-focused, and commercially aware.
