Security/CCTV Engineer - Rail Infrastructure
Location: Multiple sites across South West Railways
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
We are currently seeking an experienced Security/CCTV Engineer to support installation and commissioning works across train stations and control centres within the South West Railways network.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of new CCTV and security equipment, as well as configuring, testing, and commissioning systems to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install CCTV and associated security systems at rail sites and control rooms
* Configure and commission equipment including network setup and diagnostics
* Conduct testing, fault finding, and system optimisation
* Ensure compliance with technical standards and industry regulations
* Work flexibly across multiple locations as required
Requirements:
* Proven experience in CCTV/security system installation and commissioning
* Strong technical understanding of security infrastructure
* Rail or transport environment experience highly desirable
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Flexibility to travel across the South West Railways network
