The ideal candidate will play a key role in assessing the financial performance of our organisation, providing insights, and guiding strategic decisions. This position requires a strong understanding of financial metrics, performance analysis, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.
The role has no direct line management, but the successful candidate will need to work closely with key stakeholders throughout the business, including various Finance teams and business leaders.
There will be an expectation of limited travel as required around the UK and Ireland, visiting subsidiary companies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain a robust financial performance measurement framework, across the UK&Ireland businesses.
* Analyse financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and make recommendations for improvement.
* Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and trends.
* Collaborate with colleagues to gather financial and non-financial data, ensuring accuracy and relevance for performance analysis and reporting.
* Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
* Identify and investigate variances in financial performance, providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency, revenue generation and profitability.
* Conduct scenario analysis and financial modelling to support strategic planning and decision-making.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) / Balanced Scorecard metrics and provide regular updates to management on financial health and performance against targets.
* Support the finance team in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, including the adoption of new tools and technologies for performance analysis.
