An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Funding and Payments Team Leader to join our established team within Governance and Business Support, Adult Care Services.
This key leadership role is integral to the effective management and delivery of funding and payments activity, supporting Adult Care Services to provide high‑quality outcomes for the people we support. The postholder will oversee a diverse portfolio of delivery and development functions, contributing to strategic development while ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery to internal and external partners.

The role requires confident engagement with colleagues at all levels across the Council, including senior management, elected members, and external partners.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across complex organisational structures

* Experience of managing multiple priorities, delivering high‑quality work at pace, and performing effectively under pressure
* A strong attention to detail, with well‑developed Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
* A proactive, creative, and solution‑focused mindset, with the ability to plan ahead to achieve strategic outcomes
You will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build and maintain effective working relationships across Adult Care Services, the wider Council, and external organisations.
The successful postholder will occasionally be required to work and attend meetings at evenings and on weekends, as per the needs of the service.
