An established engineering and manufacturing business with a global customer base is looking to recruit an Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer to support the design and development of specialist engineered systems used in demanding offshore environments.

What the Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer role will involve:
* Managing engineering design projects from concept through to manufacturing handover
* Producing electrical and electronic designs, specifications and technical documentation
* Supporting the development of new products and engineering improvements
* Designing and supporting systems including power distribution, communication protocols and industrial electronics
* Providing technical support to production, integration and logistics teams
* Supporting customer enquiries, proposals and technical documentation
* Assisting with testing, inspection and certification activities
* Working closely with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
* Supporting continuous improvement and engineering best practice
Required qualifications and experience:
* Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
* Previous experience working within an engineering design environment
* Experience with electrical systems, power distribution and industrial electronics
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C or Ethernet
* PCB design experience using Altium or similar software
* Understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
* Ability to produce clear technical documentation and engineering drawings
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative approach
Experience within offshore, marine, industrial equipment or automation environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
