Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our long - established Italian restaurant in Crewe.
Having been part of the town's landscape for almost 40 years, we're proud to be the oldest restaurant in the area. Our restaurant is busier than ever and we are looking for someone to help us as we grow.
This role would suit someone with a basic knowledge of how commercial kitchens operate; someone keen to learn, perhaps studying food as college, or looking for a hands on role alongside a day job.
The main focus of this role will be preparing and cooking pizza using our homemade dough, alongside general kitchen support during service.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of pizzas, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
* Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision and care
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
* Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
* Support meal preparation for various menu items, contributing to efficient kitchen operations during busy periods
* Use knife skills effectively for ingredient prep, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times
* Help with food handling procedures, including portioning, plating, and packaging orders accurately
Hours:
2-3 evenings per week plus the occasional Sunday and holiday cover.
You'll be joining a small, friendly and supportive team with a positive buzz around the restaurant.
