<div><h3>About the Role</h3><p>This role plays a central part in delivering high-quality communications across Southwark Music. The successful candidate will lead on internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational priorities, plan and deliver targeted communication campaigns, produce engaging and accessible content across multiple platforms, act as the key point of contact for communication within the service, and support strategic objectives by connecting schools, young people, families and partners through effective messaging.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead on internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational priorities.</li><li>Plan and deliver targeted communication campaigns for key projects.</li><li>Produce engaging and accessible content across multiple platforms, including website, social media, email, and digital channels.</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for communication within the service.</li><li>Support strategic objectives by connecting schools, young people, families, and partners through effective messaging.</li><li>Work independently while managing competing priorities under the leadership of the Head of Southwark Music.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Desired Attributes</h3><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Experience managing digital content and communication channels.</li><li>Ability to plan and deliver targeted campaigns.</li><li>Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.</li><li>A collaborative approach and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.</li></ul><h3>Employment Details</h3><ul><li>Position: Permanent part-time, 10.75 hours per week.</li><li>Availability: Thursdays plus one additional half-day.</li><li>Requires Enhanced DBS clearance (Adults and Children (Barred)).</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity and Inclusion</h3><p>We seek to provide opportunities to all and particularly welcome applications from members of the black, Asian, and ethnic minority communities to increase representation at senior management level in the Council.
