Primarily based at the Linc Office at Cheltenham General Hospital, with work at our Gloucester office located in Gloucester Royal Hospital.
About Linc Charity:
Our mission is to support local blood cancer patients and their families across Gloucestershire by providing emotional support and financial assistance when needed.
We fund Clinical Psychologists within the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and support clinical trial teams working with blood cancer patients, offering access to innovative trials that could improve patient outcomes nationally and internationally. Despite being a small charity, Linc makes a significant impact!

Role Overview:
As Engagement Officer, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the charity’s activities. You will work with volunteers, supporters, and patients, and attend events, playing a vital role in all aspects of the charity’s work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage communication with donors via email, letters, or phone calls, including thanking and acknowledging support.
2. Ensure supporters and volunteers have what they need for fundraising and volunteer duties.
3. Maintain accurate records and databases, including donor information and contact preferences.
4. Use platforms such as Just Giving, Give Wheel, and others to guide supporters.
5. Lead on mailings and newsletters to engage our supporter base.
6. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and activities.
7. Act as the first point of contact for supporters and patients, responding to inquiries and providing information.
8. Assist with new fundraising opportunities and community grants.
9. Support social media platforms and the website to inspire involvement.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse audiences.
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
* Experience working in an office environment, preferably in a charity or non-profit.
* Interest in fundraising, events, and volunteering.
* Experience or interest in social media and content creation.
* Empathy and comfort working in a hospital environment.
