Job Title: Showroom Manager, Bathrooms + Plumbing + Heating
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £35k+ per annum depending on experience + Benefits + Bonus

Role Overview
As a Showroom Manager, you will support and oversee our showroom, ensuring performance is sustained and optimized for growth. You will ensure legal compliance and proper implementation of company policies. Leading, motivating, and developing your team to achieve objectives is key.
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in a Builders' Merchant environment, preferably within the bathrooms + P+H sector, at local or national levels. Experience in managing diverse teams and familiarity with the Merchant trade, including Bathrooms, Plumbing, and General Building, is essential.
Responsibilities
1. General
o Work on special projects as required
o Provide out-of-hours support for alarm and CCTV providers, including being first on call
o Be a key holder for the branch
o Respond to and resolve customer complaints
2. People Management
o Lead by example and communicate effectively with staff
o Develop staff capabilities and support underperformance improvement
o Delegate tasks effectively
o Manage staffing levels and resource allocation
o Recruit, induct, and onboard new employees with HR
o Handle payroll processes
o Conduct disciplinary and grievance procedures with HR support
3. Branch Performance
o Complete stock takes and investigate variances
o Manage stock levels and ensure service standards
o Maintain customer service and delivery standards
o Perform system housekeeping and develop supplier relationships
o Make trading decisions within authorized limits
o Coordinate stock use with other branches
4. Change and Improvements
o Propose and implement changes following approval
o Ensure fairness and consistency in decision-making
5. Health & Safety/Compliance
o Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
o Work with authorities to maintain compliance
o Encourage staff responsibility for safety standards
o Monitor tachographs and driver hours for licensing compliance
o Report and manage incidents promptly
o Ensure procedural compliance in banking and paperwork
o Complete safety checklists accurately
