Vacancy has arisen for a cardiac physiologist in the cardiac investigations unit, within In-Hospital care at North Tees and Hartlepool, University Hospital Tees. We are pleased to offer a full-time post to work within the multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants will have a BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent and be eligible for RCCP registration. There may be an opportunity for this post's hours to be discussed, subject to staffing availability. This post will work alongside, under the supervision of the specialist leads, to enable us to coordinate a quality service.

The successful candidate will work at all Trust sites, including the Community Diagnostic Centre at Stockton, as required, to provide an efficient and effective specialist clinical service within Cardiology, ensuring high standards of patient care. Previous NHS experience is essential.

Responsibilities include performing a range of diagnostic cardiac investigations, analyzing and reporting ambulatory ECGs, working independently and alongside the MDT in the cardiac cath lab, including invasive angiography and device implantation, and assisting within device follow-up clinics.

You will contribute to organizing staff duties, managing workloads and waiting lists, and prioritizing cardiac investigations to meet targets while maintaining smooth operations. Involved in training, advising, and supporting the development of other staff is also expected.

The role requires effective communication skills, working closely with cardiology multidisciplinary teams and acute wards. We seek a motivated individual with the skills and experience to develop their own skills and enhance existing services.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the unit. The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure, adapting to changing demands and prioritizing workload accordingly.
