About The Role
As an integral part of our Supply Chain team, an Assistant Logistics Manager plays a key role in managing the distribution of goods within our company's supply chain.
This role involves leading logistics activities for the Bamford Collection, supporting internal and external stakeholders involved in the distribution process, and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of stock. The Assistant Logistics Manager will oversee a team of coordinators who deliver high-quality service, problem solve, and drive efficiencies and change.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with internal logistics initiatives and projects, driving process improvements, cost savings, and service enhancements across the organization.
2. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall operational performance.
3. Support stores and customers regarding order status, transport queries, and product information, resolving issues promptly.
4. Provide excellent customer service by responding to queries efficiently.
5. Guide and support internal teams on logistics-related matters, including transportation planning, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
6. Support escalation processes affecting supply into retail and other business units.
7. Oversee distribution activities such as order processing, picking, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with distribution partners, including carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers, to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation.
9. Monitor shipment statuses, provide updates, and address delivery issues or delays.
10. Maintain accurate shipment records, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels, ensuring regulatory compliance.
11. Align with our sustainability vision by driving social and environmental improvements, contributing to our B Corp journey.
12. Inspire and empower our stakeholders to live and work more consciously, creating a positive global impact.
