Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: £21.00 - £23.00 per hour
We're seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join a dedicated property maintenance team for a social housing contractor in Oxford. In this role, you will provide high-quality carpentry and multi-trade services, helping to ensure homes are safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents.
Responsibilities
o Carrying out a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing and door/window installations.
o Completing general maintenance work such as basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, and painting.
o Delivering both reactive and planned maintenance in occupied and void properties.
o Identifying issues on-site and implementing practical, cost-effective solutions.
o Collaborating with team members, subcontractors, and housing officers to ensure efficient service delivery.
o Communicating professionally with tenants, ensuring minimal disruption during works.
o Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
o Using a PDA to manage daily tasks, updates, and job completions.
o Operating and maintaining tools and equipment responsibly.
Requirements
o Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
o Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
o Own set of tools
