Mobile Vehicle Technician – Sheffield and Surrounding Region
Our client, a reputable nationwide automotive fleet maintenance provider operating since 2008, is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Vehicle Technician to join their expanding mobile team servicing Sheffield and nearby areas. Duties as a Mobile Vehicle Technician:
- Provide roadside assistance to customer vehicles within approximately a 90‑minute radius of Sheffield
- Conduct fleet maintenance and routine inspections on‑site
- Perform specialist DPF work and repairs on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Use hand and power tools to complete repairs, replacements, and installations
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all service and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency
- Mentor and support junior technicians when necessary
- Support the company’s commitment to delivering high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment
Requirements for the Mobile Vehicle Technician Position:
- Extensive "time served" experience as a Vehicle Technician; formal automotive qualifications are not mandatory
- Proven experience in mobile or roadside repair roles preferred
- Experience working on diesel particulate filters (DPF), or specialist knowledge of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles is highly advantageous
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Own tools suitable for vehicle repairs
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality work in a demanding environment
- Motivated, team‑oriented individual with a focus on safety and excellence
- Flexibility to accommodate the mobile nature of the role
