Job Title: Lecturer/Associate Lecturer in Health and Social Care
Salary: £27,432.30 – £40,795.26 per annum (pro rata)
Contract Type: Up to 37 hours per week
Location: Cinderford, Cheltenham, and Gloucester

The Role
Join a supportive team of 11 lecturers delivering high-quality Health and Social Care education across multiple campuses. This fast-paced role involves teaching, assessment, and administrative tracking to ensure every learner achieves their potential and progresses into their chosen career.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging activities that meet curriculum aims and accommodate diverse learner needs.
Design and apply fair assessment methods, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records of progress.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment, managing classroom behavior effectively.
Engage in peer mentoring, coaching, and continuous professional development.
Work with colleagues and external agencies to address learning barriers, including literacy and numeracy development.
Shortlisting Criteria
Essential:
Teaching experience in Health and Social Care (or related subjects) at Levels 2 and 3.
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or a willingness to complete one.
A degree-level qualification in Health and Social Care.
Willingness to undergo Safeguarding and Equality & Diversity training.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable:
Experience teaching in a post-16 setting.
Practical nursing or clinical experience.
Core Competencies
Ability to inspire young people and communicate effectively using various media and technologies.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize workloads and adapt to changes.
A collaborative "helping, not blaming" approach to problem-solving and peer support.
Commitment to the highest standards of customer service and safeguarding.
