Aberdare Community School is seeking an inspirational and values driven Associate Assistant Headteacher to provide strategic leadership for Additional Learning Needs (ALN) across KS4/5.

The Role
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
1. Provide support to the strategic leadership for ALN in high stakes examination years (KS4/5)
2. Drive strong identification, graduated response and inclusive classroom provision
3. Secure effective IDP continuity into post 16 and successful learner destinations
4. Lead access arrangements, targeted interventions and timely reviews
5. Use high quality data to close gaps in progress, attendance and engagement
6. Develop staff practice in adaptive teaching and inclusive support at scale
7. Build powerful partnerships with post 16 providers, families and external agencies
You will line manage key ALN colleagues and work closely with the Deputy Headteacher (ALNCO), the wider SLT, Progress Leaders, Heads of Faculty and the Sixth Form team to deliver measurable impact.
