Charge Nurse – Band 6 – 36 hours per week
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Registered Nurse to join the team in Ward 7 at Borders General Hospital, an acute surgical ward with 31 beds covering General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology.
As Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for:
* Leading a multi‑disciplinary team and assessing patient needs to deliver high‑quality person‑centred care.
* Co‑ordinating complex discharges in collaboration with other health professionals, patients and families.
* Supervising registered, unregistered staff and student nurses, and working independently without direct supervision.
* Engaging with patients during day and night shifts to support a 24/7 service.
Qualifications and requirements:
* Full UK NMC registration.
* Flexibility to work days and nights on the ward.
