Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Diploma of college of Radiographers or BSc. Radiography
2. HCPC Registration
3. CASE Accredited postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
Desirable criteria
4. Leadership/management qualification
5. NT Licenser
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Significant experience working at band 7 level
7. Experience across majority of main areas of US including paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, abdominal, pelvic and small parts
8. Experience of undertaking audits and producing action plans
9. Recent NHS experience
Desirable criteria
10. Experience supervising, teaching and mentoring all grades of staff
11. MSK US
12. Head and neck US
13. Interventional US
14. Paediatric US (including neonatal hips and neonatal heads)
Technical Skills
Essential criteria
15. Autonomous Practitioner
16. Good time management and prioritisation skills
17. Knowledge and experience with clinical governance
18. Ability to deliver against agreed performance targets
19. An understanding of local and national guidance relevant to medical ultrasound
Desirable criteria
20. Experience of working with Quality Management Systems, i.e. Q-pulse
