About the Role:
This role involves planning and delivering engaging, inclusive Business lessons at Level 2 and Level 3, as well as providing tutorial and pastoral support to students. You will help learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for further education or entry into employment.
You will be supported by the Assistant Head of Department for Business, Travel & Tourism, who will also serve as your line manager.
Primary Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning according to a timetable that may include evenings, Saturdays, and summer periods.
2. Deliver inspirational teaching across a range of programmes and levels.
3. Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with relevant awarding body requirements to promote achievement.
4. Maintain teaching materials, including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources, and the upkeep of the VLE.
5. Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
6. Undertake administrative tasks necessary for the effective operation of programmes, including the use of vital and EBS systems.
7. Carry out moderation, assessment, and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English and Maths into the vocational curriculum.

Experience:
* Proven experience delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a post-16 environment.
* A track record of supporting students to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
* Experience as a personal tutor or in providing tutorial support (desirable).
* Familiarity with a range of assessment methods tailored to varied learning needs.
Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
* Collaborative team player with a flexible and reflective approach.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Committed to student success with an inclusive and supportive mindset.
Qualifications:
* A teaching qualification at Level 5 or willingness to work towards one.
* A relevant qualification in Business or substantial industry experience.
