Healthcare Assistant Band 3 – Ward 22

Are you interested in joining our excellent team to maintain our high standards of holistic care for acute, weaning and chronic respiratory patients? Do you have the skills we are looking for to ensure we get it right for every patient, every time? Must have health care experience.
Ward 22 is a 36‑bedded ward that provides support to patients with respiratory diseases including COPD, asthma, pleural effusions and bronchiectasis.
We are looking for committed, compassionate, and caring people who want to make a positive difference to people's lives.
Required qualifications and experience:
* 18 months experience in healthcare
* Completed trust training or equivalent to B3 qualification

Band 3 Health Care Assistant duties include:
* Supporting the registered nursing teams in providing patient care and clinical duties
* Assisting patients with extended personal hygiene needs, meeting nutritional needs, completing risk assessments and implementing plans of care
* Pressure area care delivery and wound assessment and dressings
* Undertaking observations, supporting new and junior staff, venepuncture, cannulation and catheterization
* Supporting patients receiving High Flow oxygen therapy and Non‑Invasive Ventilation
The successful candidate needs to be driven and motivated to fit into the team and strive to provide the highest standards of care for our complex respiratory patients.
