We are looking for an exceptional Brand & Communications Lead to help shape the next chapter of our story. This is a transformational role.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will lead the development of a clear and compelling group narrative, strengthen the Agena brand across multiple sectors, and protect and enhance the group's reputation.
This role offers the opportunity to help build a modern communications function as the business grows, with scope to shape the future structure and capability of the team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Brand and Narrative Leadership
* Define and embed a clear brand narrative that aligns leadership, culture and brand across the group and its subsidiary companies.
* Ensure the Agena story is communicated consistently across internal and external audiences, shaping tone of voice, messaging and positioning.
* Develop brand frameworks and assets that support growth, new verticals and the evolution of the Agena brand.
Strategic Communications and Executive Positioning
* Partner with senior leadership to shape the group narrative and executive positioning.
* Provide strategic communications counsel on messaging, reputation and stakeholder engagement.
* Translate complex operational, regulatory and commercial topics into clear, compelling communication.
Reputation and Media Management
* Act as guardian of the group's reputation across media, industry and stakeholder environments.
* Build and manage relationships with national, regional and trade press.
* Lead proactive and reactive media engagement strategies, including crisis communications planning.
Data Storytelling and Industry Authority
* Develop data-led storytelling that positions Agena as an authoritative voice on how people move and park.
* Collaborate with technology, operations and insight teams to translate data into meaningful narratives.
* Support thought leadership initiatives that strengthen Agena's industry influence.
Culture, Integration and Organisational Change
* Lead communications during integration and acquisition activity to maintain a connected group narrative.
* Support major organisational change programmes through clear and structured internal communications.
* Strengthen colleague engagement and understanding as the business grows and evolves.
Governance and Ethical Positioning
* Ensure all communications reflect Agena's ethical standards and ESG commitments.
* Uphold transparency, fairness and integrity in external messaging.
* Partner with Commercial, Operations and People teams to manage sensitive issues responsibly.
Who you are
Experienced in strategic communications, media relations, or corporate affairs within a complex or multi-stakeholder environment
Able to communicate effectively with senior leadership, media and internal stakeholders
Have strong working knowledge of brand narrative development, reputation management, and media engagement
Confident providing strategic communications counsel at senior leadership level
Skilled at translating complex business topics into clear and engaging messaging
Experienced in building narrative during periods of organisational growth, transformation, or change
Commercially aware and able to understand how brand and reputation support business growth.

Other information about the role
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 40 per week; Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: This role can be conducted remotely, or from one of our offices in Lancing, Newton Abbot, Slough or Stafford.
All office locations have free onsite parking. The office dress code is smart casual.
