New‑build efficiency: Advising developers on fabric‑first design, solar PV systems, battery storage, and low‑carbon heating solutions. The Role As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, you’ll: Develop and deliver sustainable retrofit strategies alongside new‑build energy‑efficient homes. Support bid writing for government and grant funding (e.g. SHDF, ECO4, HUG). Conduct building assessments (PAS 2035, SAP/PHPP) and solar PV feasibility studies. Liaise with suppliers and installers of solar panels, heat pumps, and smart‑meter systems. Contribute to technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders. Stay up‑to‑date with evolving funding streams, policy, and green‑building standards. Key Responsibilities Grant applications: Prepare funding bids for retrofit and renewables projects. Energy modelling: Perform SAP, PHPP, and dynamic simulation to optimise building performance. Technical due diligence: Assess sites for solar, battery storage, and fabric‑first measures. Stakeholder engagement: Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable advice. Market research: Monitor grant rounds, incentives, and industry best practices. About You Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or related. Strong interest in retrofit, renewables, and low‑carbon housing. Familiarity with UK grant mechanisms and green‑building standards. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in Excel; experience with SAP, PHPP, or RdSAP and PV‑sizing tools is a plus.
