We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Analyst / Engineer to join an NHS organisation on a contract basis through to March 2026. The successful candidate will directly support and report to the Head of Infrastructure and Cyber Security, delivering key technical projects, providing senior-level expertise, and supporting other Infrastructure and End User Computing (EUC) staff in their work. This is a hands-on technical role for a proactive and adaptable professional who can deliver complex infrastructure projects with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Support and report directly to the Head of Infrastructure and Cyber Security, undertaking delegated work and responsibilities as required. Provide guidance, technical input, and mentoring to other members of the Infrastructure and EUC teams. Lead and deliver multiple technical projects and programmes under PRINCE2 methodologies. Act as cover for the Head of Infrastructure and Cyber Security where necessary. Manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines and quality standards. Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, managing challenging situations professionally and effectively. Produce clear and concise documentation, reports, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours rota, as required. Attend on-site as necessary to support project delivery, including a minimum of two office days per month, London based. Essential Skills & Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior infrastructure consultant role. Proven track record of delivering infrastructure and technical projects independently. Demonstrable expertise across: Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 / Office 365 VMware Windows Server technologies Cyber Security best practices / appreciation Strong understanding of infrastructure design, deployment, and operational management. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workloads, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong team player with mentoring and leadership capabilities. Flexible and committed approach to supporting on-site work when required. Desirable Attributes NHS experience Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Azure).
