Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term time only
Hourly Rate: £12.37 - £13.49 per hour
Annual Salary: £22,102.72 - £24,103.93 (actual salary)
We are currently seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join dedicated education team in Cranborne, Dorset speclialising in Students with Learning difficulties.
The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in helping students develop independence, confidence, and the skills they need for adult life. You will support teaching staff to deliver engaging lessons both in and out of the classroom, working with small groups or occasionally one-to-one with students who need extra support.
Key Responsibilities Support and facilitate the learning and independence of students
Assist in the planning, preparation, and evaluation of education programmes
Record and report on student progress accurately
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Promote independence and personal development
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed
Please note that duties may vary flexibility is key, and you may be asked to assist in other areas when needed.
Experience Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Minimum age 21 (due to setting requirements)
Positive, patient, and creative approach to working with young people
Strong communication, literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
