A little more about your role...
We are seeking Delivery Leads, including Project Managers, Directors, and Assistant Project Managers, to manage high-value, challenging projects within the Defence and Security sector. Reporting to the Senior Delivery Lead, you will deliver projects according to the plan. Assistant Project Managers will support larger projects or lead smaller ones.
* Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to scope and deliver tasks within budget, on time, and aligned with client expectations and WSP standards. This hands-on role involves chairing meetings, writing reports, organizing resources, and monitoring finances.
* Manage project activities such as scope, resources, finance, schedule, change control, risk, and client relations, with additional focus on security management specific to Defence and Security projects.
* Work within a growing, diverse team on complex infrastructure projects across RIBA design stages.
We are relatively new to this sector, with recent wins in both public and private sectors. As we develop our Defence and Security culture, you will support work-winning activities and act as an ambassador for the sector.
Our nationwide team offers flexible work arrangements, including working from home, WSP offices, and client sites, with travel as needed.
What we would be looking for you to demonstrate...
* Proven experience in Defence and Security project management, delivering construction or infrastructure projects (excluding IT Infrastructure), with knowledge of security protocols.
* Knowledge of MOD policies, processes, and procedures, including JSPs (notably JSP 850), the Green Book, and the 5-case model for business cases.
* An existing network within the Defence and Security sector.
* A relevant technical degree (engineering, building, quantity surveying, science, or project management).
* Recognized project or programme management certification from PMI, APM, RICS, CIOB, or NEC3/4 PM qualification.
* Eligibility for Security Clearance.
