We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Quality Control Laboratory Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both the analytical and microbiology laboratories, as well as with the incoming component inspection team. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the quality assurance of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analytical Testing: Conduct analyses of raw materials, bulk, and finished products using techniques such as Gas Chromatography, Infra-Red, Karl Fischer, and Viscometers.
• Microbiological Testing: Perform microbiological analysis of finished products and water samples.
• Component Inspection: Inspect and release incoming components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Check, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Customer Complaint Support: Assist in investigations related to customer complaints to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Production Support: Collaborate with the production team to address investigations and queries.
• R&D Collaboration: Support Research and Development with stability testing and investigations.
• Lab Supplies Management: Manage the ordering of chemicals and supplies for the laboratory.
• Lab Maintenance: Ensure the laboratory is kept tidy and organized.
• Cross-Departmental Exposure: Participate in project meetings and discussions with various departments across the business.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Current undergraduate or postgraduate in a Scientific subject.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated "can do" attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Curious and inquisitive mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Special Requirements:
As part of the Quality & Regulatory team, you will work closely with the QC Manager, Microbiology Manager, and QA Packaging Supervisor. You will also liaise with the production team and interact with employees at all levels across the organization.
