About the Role As Head of Business Development, you’ll be part of the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the studio’s commercial growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on outbound new business development – identifying, approaching, and closing major new brand and agency partnerships. You’ll work closely with internal creative, production, and strategy teams to craft compelling proposals, while mentoring and scaling a high-performing BD team to meet growing demand. Key Responsibilities Lead outbound sales efforts across brand and agency sectors Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of new opportunities Close significant new business contracts with global clients Represent the studio externally at industry events and trade shows Collaborate on tailored RFP responses, pitch strategy and presentations Develop and implement scalable BD processes and outreach programmes Coach and mentor junior commercial team members Partner with marketing and client services to align GTM strategy Maintain reporting and performance tracking via Salesforce and automation tools Occasionally deputise for the Chief Commercial Officer when required Skills and Experience Required 10 years’ experience in senior business development roles within creative tech, experiential, innovation, or immersive media sectors Proven success selling £1m workstreams or project deals A strong personal network among senior decision-makers at brands and agencies Confident handling complex, high-value negotiations at C-suite level In-depth knowledge of XR, AI, gaming, spatial computing, or creative innovation Strong leadership qualities with experience building and scaling teams Expert communicator and persuasive storyteller Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Prior experience in an agency, studio or tech-led experiential environment Understanding of technical delivery processes and production workflows Salary: £90 - 110k Plus Comms Location: Remote (UK-based) with routine travel to Newcastle HQ Job Ref: AW 11756 All applications are viewed and evaluated according to the role requirements.
