Overview
A team of Personal Assistants is needed for a rugby-loving young man in the HU8 area. A young man in the Holderness Road area of the city requires the support of a Personal Assistant. He is 21, has Autism and Learning Difficulties. He requires 2:1 support and you would be working as part of a team. You’ll be working under the direction of his mum, but the young man is able to express his own needs and wishes. He is warm and funny with a great sense of humour.
Responsibilities
* The PA team will help the young man access social activities in his community. He enjoys swimming, bowling, going to the cinema, and playing on arcade machines.
* He has no safety awareness, so precautions must be taken when out and about. The PAs will work together to ensure appropriate measures are in place.
* He also enjoys being at home, playing on his PlayStation and watching cartoons.
Qualifications
* Experience is not essential as training will be provided.
* Ability to work as part of a 2:1 team under supervision.
