Job Description
Modern Democracy wishes to recruit a Digital Product Manager to join our Team and would like to invite applicants who feel that they have the relevant experience and are ready to take this next step in their career.
Our client base is forecasted to grow significantly over the next 12-18 months and with a General Election on the horizon this will be a very exciting time for the successful candidate to come on board.
You will be an empathetic, creative, driven person, with effective communication skills and able to demonstrate personal commitment, and excellent client facing skills in your current role. You will be a self-starter and someone who is able to operate in a team environment with a good degree of autonomy and a good instinct for process improvement. You will understand the importance of listening to our clients, and in delivering the highest possible standard of service, to build a trusted brand within our chosen market.
As a Digital Product Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle. Working with a project lead and a UX designer you will get to deliver amazing software to our clients. You will manage a road map, discover the requirements, match expenditure appetite to developer effort, present iterations demos to the client, road test the solution with real users and gather the all-important feedback.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the management and coordination of our product roadmap.
* Identify and gather client requirements, validating the market needs and customer demand
* Manage agile projects from ideation stage to proposed solution, through to development and implementation.
* Assist the customer in identifying and streamlining processes using technological solutions.
* Clearly plan and define the scope of the project with the customer using MoSCoW analysis.
* Coordinate the capture of success criteria and benefits realisation.
* Ensure projects remain on time and on budget and keep the client informed of progress throughout
* Ensure the project delivers expected outcomes/benefits agreed with the customer.
* Always act as your client’s advocate, ensuring their business needs are understood and catered for
* Be ready to help those who need it & be patient with those who are developing their skills.
* Communicate clearly and often & in turn encourage the team to communicate effectively.
Experience
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing software projects or teams
* Previously worked in a software company
* Experience in developing sound client relationships.
* Experience of working within a truly agile environment
* Experience of managing cloud software projects.
Skills & Qualifications (Desirable)
* 3rd Level Qualification in Computer Science or equivalent
* Ambitious with strong motivation to make a difference.
* Sound commercial awareness
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent verbal and communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Knowledge of the Election process

Additional Information
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Hybrid working is assumed but current company policy requires that all employees work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Due to the nature of the Modern Democracy business, there are periods when we require a high level of flexibility from our employees. This is prior to the annual elections (in May) and other key election events such as the UK General Election which will take place at some point before the end of 2024. During these periods it is expected that you will work from the office.
Out-of-hours work may also be required (under a Rota basis) on election day itself.
