Exciting Opportunity for Skilled Toolmakers at a Renowned Aircraft Manufacturer
Are you a talented Toolmaker looking to join a dynamic and innovative team? This company, a world-leading aircraft manufacturer, is seeking experienced Toolmakers to play a crucial role in the production of their state-of-the-art aircraft.
As a Toolmaker for this company, you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance of tooling to keep the production process running smoothly. This will involve working closely with the Metrology team, utilizing advanced laser trackers and CMM instruments to check and certify various types of tooling across the plant.
Key Responsibilities of the Toolmaker role:
- Reactively maintain tooling to ensure production is enabled
- Proactively maintain critical path tooling and specific features of the jigs to enable production to deliver the build cycle using predefined schedules
- Support measurements for aircraft concession data and acceptance checks
The successful Toolmaker will have completed a full Apprenticeship in Toolmaking, along with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification. Experience in a similar role within the aerospace industry would be highly advantageous.
This company offers flexible shift patterns, including double days (06:00 to 13:10 and 13:30 to 20:40) and night shifts (20:45 to 06:00). The salary range for this Toolmaker position is £45,513 to £49,306, inclusive of shift allowances.
