Overview
A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School and Sixth Form in South East London. This position will be full time and long term with scope to go permanent. You will be required to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The rates of pay for this post are GBP 82.14 to GBP 120 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.
The School
A Free School located in the London Borough of Greenwich, created from what was a former University Technical College. The site is located between two scenic green spaces. Pupil intake is for boys and girls aged 11 to 19 years old. Construction and Engineering are the specialisms of the school. They are the only local providers of courses with access to these opportunities. The school’s four key values are Responsibility, Grit, Teamwork and Success. The Sixth Form has its own dedicated centre which includes a lecture theatre, sports hall, multi-use atrium, dining space and classrooms.
Responsibilities
Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs within a secondary school setting. This is a full-time, long-term role with potential to become permanent.
Requirements
You will be considered if you are a recent Graduate or an experienced Learning Support Assistant. Applications are welcome from British-trained or overseas-trained Learning Support Assistants. All applicants must have the following to be considered:
* Right to work in the UK
* Clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS
* UK Bachelor’s Degree or overseas equivalent
* Experience working with children/young people or as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
