Talented People are hiring on behalf of a well known brand in Crawley for a Maintenance Technician to ensure the ongoing service and maintenance of their production machines as well as ensuring site facilities and maintenance are maintained.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of production equipment, including conveyor-based machinery
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults
* Support the maintenance of site facilities, including lighting, plumbing, and general utilities
* Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and service history
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements
* Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
What We’re Looking For in a Maintenance Technician:
* Proven experience in a production engineering or maintenance technician role
* Strong mechanical aptitude, ideally with exposure to conveyor systems or fast-paced machinery
* Good understanding of preventative maintenance and reactive repair methods
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
