Role: Contracts Manager Location: Midlands, UK Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year (DOE) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview I am seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of refurbishment and construction projects nationwide. You will be responsible for managing contract lifecycles, ensuring projects are executed to specification, budget, schedule and quality standards, while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage contracts from award to completion, ensuring commercial and contractual compliance Develop and review project programmes, procurement plans, risk registers and method statements Monitor and control project budgets, variations, claims and payment processes Work closely with project teams, clients and supply chain to ensure clear communication and deliverables Ensure health, safety and quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of the project Prepare regular reports on project status, risks and commercial performance to senior management Promote best practice in contract management and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in refurbishment, fit-out, construction or related sector Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation, cost control and risk management Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to interpret technical specifications and contractual terms A proactive problem-solver with a focus on delivering quality outcomes Experience in commercial fit out projects. Relevant construction/contract qualification or chartership is desirable (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
