Maths/Science Teachers & Nurture Teachers Long Term Roles
Derby City | Small Groups (up to 6 pupils) | Immediate Starts
Were recruiting Maths Teachers, Science Teachers and Nurture Teachers for long-term roles across Derby City SEND schools and Alternative Provisions. Youll be working with small groups of up to 6 pupils with SEND, SEMH and challenging behaviour, delivering calm, structured learning that helps pupils re-engage and succeed.
The Roles
- Teach small groups (max 6) in Maths, Science or Nurture-based learning
- Support pupils with SEND/SEMH who need consistency and strong relationships
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that build confidence and resilience
- Use a relational, therapeutic approach to behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work closely with supportive SEND/AP teams
What Were Looking For
- Qualified Teachers (QTS) in Maths, Science or Primary/Nurture
- Experience with SEND/SEMH or confidence managing challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient practitioners who can engage reluctant learners
- Reliable, consistent staff looking for long-term stability
