Job Title: Mechanical Shift Engineer
Location: West London
Purpose of the Job
• To deliver mechanical maintenance within a 24/7 shift environment, ensuring plant and systems operate safely and efficiently.
• To carry out both reactive maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of mechanical systems.
• To support site uptime, compliance, and operational performance while developing technical skills through training.
Key Responsibilities
• Work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and PPMs across mechanical building services systems.
• Perform in-depth plant room maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain and service calorifiers, including temperature checks and compliance tasks.
• Carry out AHU cleaning and mechanical servicing.
• Support legionella prevention activities in line with site procedures.
• Perform belt changes on motors and associated mechanical works.
• Service and maintain TMVs and pressurisation units.
• Accurately complete shift logs, handover reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in training programmes to develop skills and competency.
• Support overtime requirements when available.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
• Strong mechanical background within commercial, industrial, or critical environments.
• Experience working on plant rooms and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of legionella control and water hygiene practices (training provided if required).
• Ability to fault-find and work effectively in a reactive shift environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to develop skills and progress within the role.
Working Hours & Benefits

• Salary: £45,000 per annum
