Payroll Assistant – Fixed Term Contract

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be coming to market with another payroll opportunity. We are looking for a detail-focused Payroll Assistant to join a busy organisation on a fixed-term basis. This role offers a blend of responsibility, flexibility and exposure to a wide range of payroll activity, supporting colleagues across the business while ensuring a smooth and accurate payroll service.
Working as part of a friendly finance team, you’ll support the delivery of multiple payrolls and play a key role in maintaining high standards of compliance and data accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the end-to-end processing of monthly payrolls
* Handling payroll queries and escalating more complex issues where needed
* Assisting with statutory calculations and ensuring relevant submissions are completed on time
* Processing new starters, leavers and contractual changes
* Updating payroll and time & attendance systems with accurate information
* Carrying out routine checks and reconciliations to ensure data integrity
* Preparing payroll reports for internal use and external partners
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in payroll administration within a fast-paced environment
* Is confident working with payroll software and proficient in Excel
* Can manage deadlines and deal with high volumes of data
* Brings strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
* Communicates clearly with colleagues at all levels
