We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take a key role in driving plant reliability, throughput, and decarbonisation. This role will oversee daily plant operations, deliver effective maintenance strategies, and lead a small engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and development.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the single point of contact for electrical management across designated plant areas.
Ownership of the electrical budget, including planning and cost control.
Preparing shutdown plans, managing contractors, and overseeing preventative maintenance activities.
Developing and managing plant-wide maintenance strategies, including FMECA databases.
Supporting new maintenance plan development in collaboration with the reliability team.
Driving continuous improvement projects, including decarbonisation and throughput initiatives.
Monitoring reactive maintenance trends and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Supporting both CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects.
Line management of the Preventative Maintenance Engineer and Automation Engineer.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in a similar electrical engineering position within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, automation, networking, SCADA, AC drive systems, and material handling systems.
Experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement techniques.
People management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
An organised, self-starting approach with a focus on innovation and improvement.
