We’re working with a well-established non-profit organisation that is looking to welcome an Accounts Assistant to their friendly and growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in accounts who is seeking a meaningful role in a purpose-driven organisation. This position is fully office-based, offering flexibility with hours and open to both full-time (35 hours over 4 days, Monday to Thursday) and part-time applicants (minimum 3 days). What you'll do as an Accounts Assistant: * Processing invoices, expenses, and payments using Sage accounting software * Managing both incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness * Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records * Assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reporting – including balance sheets and P&L * Supporting with VAT return preparation and submissions * Monitoring cash flow and helping to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations * Reviewing staff expense claims to ensure they meet internal policies * Generating and issuing client invoices * Providing general administrative support to the finance team and assisting with queries Who we're looking for: * Previous experience in a finance or accounts admin role * Confident working with Sage and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) * A solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals * High attention to detail and comfortable handling a variety of financial tasks * Strong communication skills – able to work well with internal teams and external partners What’s on offer: * 4-day working week (Mon–Thurs) – no Fridays! * Flexible hours – open to both full-time and part-time candidates * 28 days holiday (pro rata) * Free on-site parking * Full sick pay * Supportive, team-based environment * A developing role with opportunities to grow and add value If you're looking to join a supportive team in a role where your work truly makes a difference, apply now or get in touch to find out more
