About The Role
The Employment Advisor works directly with referred young people from initial contact through to sustained employment, providing personalised, wrap‑around support at every stage of the journey. The role includes conducting an initial assessment, co‑creating an action plan, and delivering or coordinating pre‑employment support such as confidence building, CV development, interview preparation and short employability training.
Responsibilities
* Build effective and positive relationships with participants, working collaboratively and challenging them to identify and overcome barriers preventing them from returning to work.
* Partner with participants to create a comprehensive action plan to identify appropriate career opportunities and actions required to progress toward sustainable employment.
* Understand internal and external resources, advice, and guidance available to support participants with debt concerns, mental health conditions, or career coaching and signpost as needed.
* Work with the internal Employer Services team and relevant external employment support services to identify appropriate job opportunities.
* Support participants in preparing for job interviews, conducting mock interviews, and assessment activities.
* Meet and exceed all monthly performance targets and Key Performance Indicators, seeking feedback to continuously improve and deliver strong outcomes for participants and commissioners.
This role requires travel around East Midlands.
